Since December of 2022, we’ve made progress educating our communities about recognizing the inherent rights of the Southern Resident Orcas. As you can see, five cities and three counties have signed proclamations supporting our campaign. These are baby steps to the larger effort which is a statewide bill being introduced into the legislature next year, and passing!
If you’re interested in learning about proclamations and how to ask for one in your community, please see our SRO Toolkit. There you will find a ton of info you can share with others to learn about the SROs and what the rights of Nature movement is all about. And feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
Thank you for your support!
